Ever since I was a child I dreamt of flying, from childish dreams of being a fighter pilot, to watching hang gliders at Stanwell Park, I just wanted to be in the air. This lifelong dream became a reality in 2000 when I was living in the South of Spain. After completing my course I was hooked, but on returning to Australia I delayed my flying career for over a year until starting university in Lismore, NSW. There under the guidance of Andrew Polidano, Lindsay Wootten and Brent Cameron I returned to the skies. I cannot thank all the Northern Rivers pilots enough for their guidance and encouragement through these early stages of my flying career, they kept me safe, inspired me, and pushed me to move upward.

I started competing in 2004 at the Manilla Open with humble beginnings. By 2007 I completed my first Australian season, finishing 13th overall. The next year I finished 2nd to my former coach and all round amazing pilot, Craig Collings. I then had a two year break from competitive flying in Australia, returning in the 2010/2011 season to win the Australian championship in the Open Class. I took a break from competition in the 2011/2012 season for work related reasons, returning to finish 2nd overall in 2012/2013 in Serial Class competition. I also won the 2013 Manilla XC Camp, flying over 1100km during the week of competition supported my friends and team members on most flights.

I am an avid participant in Acro paragliding and believe this helps with my control of my wing, confidence in flight, and ability to handle extreme situations with the calmness required. I believe in sharing all my knowledge with people that I meet, I love to see people learn and progress. Being airborne continues to be a magical and spiritual experience for me.
